{"id":588,"date":"2010-01-08T06:11:39","date_gmt":"2010-01-08T06:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygeorgiaaccountant.com\/?p=588"},"modified":"2010-01-08T06:11:39","modified_gmt":"2010-01-08T06:11:39","slug":"irs-lowers-the-standard-mileage-rates-for-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/myga.midcityinc.com\/MyGeorgiaAccountant\/irs-lowers-the-standard-mileage-rates-for-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"IRS Lowers the Standard Mileage Rates for 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Internal Revenue Service has issued the 2010 optional standard mileage rates used to calculate the deductible costs of operating an automobile for business, charitable, medical or moving purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning on Jan. 1, 2010, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (also vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 cents per mile for business miles driven<\/li>\n<li>16.5 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes<\/li>\n<li>14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new rates for business, medical and moving purposes are slightly lower than last year\u2019s.
